Merry Holiday Season
I just put up my last holiday post and have already put the rest of my sites on holiday furlough. But, my year isn’t quite done yet.
At the morning meeting, I was presented a question that I answered very poorly.
What was awesome about your year?
My answer was the very lame “nothing was awesome about my year”. But, that’s not really true. That was the cynical cynic in me being all negative-glass-half-empty. My year really wasn’t that bad.
Eventhough I spent most of the year unemployed or barely employed, I still managed to do some cool things.
- I got to go to Vegas for A MINI Vacation in Vegas
- I got to go to England for MINI United
During both of these events, I had the opportunity to reconnect with old friends that I don’t get to see very often, and make a few new ones.
Also, during the course of 2009, I was able to reconnect with friends that I haven’t even thought about in 20 years. Turns out, are still as cool as ever.
Myself and my family are finishing the year without illness or injury and I have managed to gain full-time employment. I did lose my Great Grandmother this year, but she was almost 100 years old and lived a very full life.
Finally, for those of you coming from Facebook, I’m pleased to say that during this year I got the chance to meet and/or hang out with almost all of you. Yes, I can say that I have actually met almost all of my 300+ Facebook friends at some point. Can you?
So, I guess 2009 wasn’t that bad.
I have a feeling that 2010 for me is going to be pretty kick ass!
