It happened again this week.
House was broken into.
Items taken:
- xBox
- The Lad’s Brand new iPod
- The Lad’s Camera
- The Lad’s keys
- My wallet
Luckily, I don’t carry cash in my wallet, but my ATM/debit card was in there, along with my drivers license. They managed to use about $170 on the card before I reported it stolen. Yes, I’m working on the paper work to get the charges reversed.
It’s soooo frustrating, ya know?
I was going to close comments, because I don’t want to spend all day answering questions. But, instead, re-read the last sentence.
[edit] I’ve spent some time speaking with The Queen about this and she is asking to help restore the lads crap. I’m not one to usually do this, but he did work very hard for that iPod and he was VERY pissed that it was gone (broke a piece off his desk even).
So, if anyone else would be interested in helping out, click the button below. To be clear, I’m in no way asking for assistance, but realize that some of you have been following along and feel bad that it happened to him and would like to do something to help. Don’t worry, he will know who helped and you will be receiving a thank you note of some kind!
This just in. Found out that I need to re-key the house now as well. They stole his keys. Nice. [/edit]

Dont' sweat if your comment isn't showing up. It's currently being analyzed by the robots to ensure that you are, in fact, you and not one of those idiot spammers that spend their days and nights clogging the tubes.
If does seem to be taking longer than normal, contact db and he'll hook you up tootsweet! You know, 'cause that's the kind of guy he is (and he is also the boss of the ninja robots).
Finally, for those of you in the know, Markdown is available as it a very small set of HTML tags. If you are scratching your head, don't worry, it's just geek stuff. You can still comment!

that’s horrible…I’m glad everyone is safe, though. I’m surprised they didn’t take some of your other goodies (tv, multiple computers, etc).

I can’t remember now if the Lad had an xbox 360 or a regular one. I have a plain old xbox that I haven’t used in a long time which you are more than welcome to have; was going to trade it for a Wii or PS3 game but would rather it went to a good home.
Just let me know.

Thanks everyone! I told the lad about the help and comments and he got a HUGE smile on his face! It’s really appreciated.
Paul, I’ll let you know about the xbox (read, check your inbox in the morning).

db, no problem just let me know what you decide. It’s currently in San Diego rather than Brawley.
