As I type this, I’m previewing the new Killers album on Amazon. All of the song clips, in order.
Plus tabbed browsing.
Yea, db likes the Amazon.com mp3 download service.

yeah, once I get internet at home I’m definitely trying the amazon store…although it doesn’t have as many tracks available as itunes it’s still cheaper, better bit rate, and drm free! Does it transfer into itunes rather smoothly, too? (or, do I need to drop it into the itunes library directory and launch from there/import?)

It’s easy. You have to download the Amazon App and install it (which takes about a minute). When you buy a song, that thing opens and automagically puts the track into iTunes. No drag, no drop. You can change the download location in prefs (which I already did). Then, make a Recently Added smart playlist and you’ll have easy access to the tracks. I want to try to make one based on a directory, but I don’t think that’s possible.
What I do is check Amazon first. If it’s there, then I buy. If it’s not, then iTunes. But Amazon is getting better everyday. Jimmies Chicken Shack? Who would have thought.
It’s also worth cruising the store too. They have been having a lot of Rat Pack stuff (if you like those guys) for cheap!
