now I’m bummed

I just heard that the new RS feature “Joshua eats things he finds at the dollar store” has been put on hold because there is pizza and black cherry soda in the fridge.

And I was soooo looking forward to that. Damn. Don’t be surprised if this is my last post, as I’m pretty sure I can’t leave without knowing whether or not Josh could actually east Armour Treet ‘without dying and junk’.

Fireworks

Note to self: By this time next year, get a way better photo shooting rig than you currently have.

For the first time in 10 years, the city counsel decided to not cheap out on fireworks this year and ride along with the ball park. They had a real, honest-to-goodness fireworks show. Complete with a pretty kick ass grand finale and everything!

The lad and I jumped in the MINI just as they were starting and motored up to the top of the hill in front of our house. Pulled in right behind the across the street neighbors (no, not the lass, next to her) and watched. Big ones, littles ones, fireworks that looked like Mickey Mouse, fireworks that went boom. It was fun.

I only wished I would have taken my camera to try to snap off some shots. The way the fireworks were reflecting off the lake was pretty cool. Oh yea, and the echo’s off of the mountains was totally awesome!

Ok, long weekend over. Guess it’s time to go back to work eh? Man, what a drag…

Office Birthday’s

I work in a small office. 7 regular employees. That’s it. And every one of them has a birthday.

And, since all of office employees, except me, have worked here since the earlier 80’s or earlier, they have to celebrate birthdays with that crappy ass’d supermarket cake. Ick. That is nothing but an average cake pumped full of sugar syrup and covered with melted sugar for frosting. I always tell myself ‘no cake, it sucks’. But then I get sucked in, have cake and spend the next hour coming down from my diabetic super buzz.

Well, maybe it will help me sleep tonight…
