Have you seen the new Mitsubishi Motors commerical? The one where the roads are lined with orange jumpsuit’ed Mitsu Mechanical types?
This commerical makes me want baby back ribs.
The song that the producers of this commercial is the same song that Chili’s snagged the base-line for their baby back baby back gimme my baby back ribs song.
Check it out.
Will sometime lead to the most bizarre of conversations, usually me describing some obscure piece of pop-culture from my past to the lad, when he obviously does not care. I say this is my right and rank this as high as my parents dragging me to every god-forsaken swap meet on the weekends so that mom could try to talk some guy into selling her something he was asking $.50 for for $.15. Hell? Oh, you betcha.
Anyway, I digress. If you were at casa de db this weekend, there is a pretty good chance you would have heard me utter the following:
eenie meenie minee mo catch a tiger by the toe if he hollers make him pay $50 every day my-mother-says-you-are-the-very-best-one so-you-are-not-it
For this I receive the official ‘dude, you’re a dork’ with eye roll. Although I’m pretty sure this is exactly how he is going to pick teams for kick ball from now on.
Did I mention I spent Friday night at the Laundramat?
me: d00d, I’m at the laundrymat j: what are you doing at the laundramat? me: doing laundry, duh
Via text message. But, you know what I always say…ask a stupid question…
Besides being a kick ass browser, there are also extensions available to do more while having the browser open. There are only a few that I use which are extremely helpful to me. The first being the webdev toolbar. Adds some nifty features for viewing and editing css, html and other parts of an HTML page. Yet another that I find nice to use is add block which lets you block even the most annoying flash ads and others. Super nifty.
There is a new one on the block that I’ve been using for about 5 minutes but it rocks! It’s called FoxyTunes and lets you control your media player right from the browser window! Supports about a dozen players including WMP, MusicMatch, iTunes and WinAmp. Definitely worth checking out if you listen to music while surfing!
Looking for that wacky domain name? here is a handy list
Have a crappy bottle of vodka laying around that you really want to drink? filter it! –Thanks Josh
Sites that don’t work well with Firefox - C’mon gang, get it together already!
I’ve got more, but I’m link posting because, um, I forgot what it was. Damn I hate getting old! I really need to start carrying a little voice recorder with me.
This is the last one, I promise. But, so far so good. Everything is working as it should. Did I mention I’m burning audio CD’s in about 3 minutes and ripping audio CD tracks in about 30 seconds? Yea, pretty sweet.
But honestly. The #3 reason why I bought a new PC? Yea, to play this game. I was hooked by 1 & 2, and I just had to play it in 3-D (go ahead and click the link, I’ll see be here when you get back)!
But, in releasing the game, Atari kinda pulled a Microsoft. You see, in a rush to get the product to market prior to the big holiday buying season (with $2.60 a gallon gasoline? I don’t think so, but that’s another post, isn’t it?), they release a game that wasn’t just buggy. It wasn’t complete! They are working on a ‘patch’ already relased in beta, that isn’t just to fix some feature enhancements but to actually add in features! The patch is essentially completing the product.
I say boo to Atari for doing this. But, that is cancelled out by my Yay! for releasing this game in 3-D.
