Finally

Something that hasn’t happened, so I heard on the news this week, since sometime in April.

It’s raining in Southern California.

I’ll be on storm watch until further notice. I’m sure Paul Moyer is sporting major wood right about now.

Also, for those of you not paying attention, West Wing is back this coming Wednesday! It’s about f’ing time. Since it has been so long since the last season ended, Bravo is going to show the last 3 episodes of the last season, back to back, on Monday night. You can guess how I will be entertaining myself this week, right?

I heard on the radio news this morning polling data that said President Bush is the current favorite among the military.

Well, duh

another WP convert

Sure, I know you all that have converted from something other than Wordpress to Wordpress at my urging are cussing at me right and left. Do I let it bother me? Nope.

In fact, I just keep on converting! chezsheila.com/blog.

Now that it is there, I just have to make sure that stuff gets posted!

California Toughens Spyware Laws

This is actually fairly interesting, but makes me go ‘hmmmmm’.

Starting next year, most companies that do business in California face a new law requiring that they tell their customers what personal information they share and with whom they share it. And, for software companies and Web sites using spyware, they’ll need to reveal what information they collect and face penalties if they place spyware without consent.

Taken from this article.

I have a few questions about this. First of all, how are they going to enforce it?

Next up, if a site has to inform me that they are getting ready to install spyware on my computer, or software that performs much like spyware, how much do you think is really going to get installed? Is there going to be a disclaimer on the site someplace? Or maybe a javacript pop-up or something like:

Install Spyware?

So, your sensing that db doesn’t think this is going to help? Yea.
