So, it was cancelled, right? I mean, they aren’t even showing re-runs on NBC any more, instead choosing to show 2 hours of Law & Order. So, the only thing I can think of if that they show was cancelled.
Or are they just trying to piss me off?
Check it out. This one is actually pretty decent.
Yes, something else was released besides the Star Wars Trillogy on DVD today.
Today, we focus on the new Green Day outting, American Idiot. I’m downloading it now, but I have feeling from the 3 tracks that I have heard that it rocks.
More amazingly; Green Day are the masters of the 2:30 song. Short, sweet and too the point. No extra nothing. On American Idiot, there are 2 tracks that are longer than 9 minutes, 2 longer than 7, a few fives and fours and the title track, which comes in at the Green Day standard 2:53. I haven’t done the math yet, but there is a really good chance that this disc is longer than their last 2, maybe 3 albums, combined.
More after I live with it for a few days.
Sure, why not? I know I’ve got the kick-ass home theatre set-up, but every now and again I think ‘Hey, that would probably rock on the big screen!’ As it turns out, this time I was right.
The lad and I went over to our local megaplex and caught a matinee showing of Sky Captain, World of Tomorrow. And it didn’t suck.
The story was fun and exciting. The acting was as you would expect coming from Jude Law and Gweneth Paltrow. The effects were seamless and quite impressive as well.
No spoilers here, but it was exactly like seeing a circa-1940 science fiction movie, but using today’s technology. Right down to the half b&w, half color images on the screen.
If you are looking for something to see that’s not going to take a lot of effort, then definitely check this out.
Can you believe it? First of all, Billy Idol comes back on tour, with a new album on deck.
Next? Tears for Fears gets back together and release a new album. And, guess what? It doesn’t suck!
It’s a completely different sound from all of the other TFF albums too. Yes, as a matter of fact, I do have them all. This album is very pop-y, much like Songs from the Big Chair, but way smoother and with less power.
I’m only about 1/2 way through it, but so far, I like what I hear. If you are a fan, I’d recommend checking it out. If you are looking for something new to add to your collection, then I’d recommend checking it out to you too.
If, however, you would rather sit in your pathetic room, black curtains drawn, and listen to death metal while carving intricate designs into your skin with a hot spoon, then I’d stay away from this.
Oh yea, went to Willow Springs again. But you are going to have to read about that here
