I’ve been looking for a drop-in style for wordpress that I like. Can’t find one. I’ll be working on this today to make it look as it did before.
I’m still working on this, as I am sure you have noticed. I will continue to work on this as time permits. I promise you will always be able to read the main posts while construction continues.

Because I like to blame as much as possible on my mother as I can…
She calls from her mobile phone as she drives through the desert, on her way to California. Her call drops. She calls back, about 5 minutes later. Not a minute after talking to her, the power goes out. Not just power here at the house, but power for the entire neighborhood! Stayed out for almost 2 hours.
When Mom fucks something up, she doesn’t mess around!

I get home from work tonight and I’m talking to a friend of mine on the phone outside whilst I enjoy a beer. When the lass walks in the gate.
I get off the phone and we chat a bit. She said she wanted to know what was going on with the doc, and I told her. I asked about her sister’s visit, and she asked about the folks coming over (which, as it turned out, was the same weekend). She bitched a bit about work, as did I. I told her I was heading to the market to forage for something for dinner, and being the nice guy that I am, asked what she was doing. That turned into a dinner invite from her, since she had enough for us too.
So, dinner, and a few beers, was had. A nice evening in general. Just talking.
Weird in that it seemed like nothing, really, had changed. Just that feeling.
So, 8:30 rolls around and I come back home to teach the lad the finer points of ripping CD’s using iTunes. Then she comes back over again. This time was to ask for help with something that she really needs to get done, and has been trying to do for close to a year. Of course I say yes, being the nice guy and all that.
Anyway, just odd is all I’m saying…
