well

seems I’m just pissing off everyone this year. Oh well.

I’m not about making things more complicated than either they already are or were. that just makes things more difficult for everyone envolved.

And, in case any of you haven’t noticed yet, I really could give a rat’s ass if I upset, offend or otherwise do or say something that makes you mad. I call ‘em as I see ‘em. I’m not going to tell you the things you want to hear just so I can be everybody’s friend or whatever. It’s not my style, so deal with it.

Oh yea, don’t expect me to agree with anything that you say or do either. I might agree, but there is a good chance that I will not. When I don’t, you can expect me to politely tell you to blow it out your ass. Hopefully there will be some type of debate or discussion where you will try to persuade me to agree, but don’t get all bent when I don’t. I also don’t expect anyone to agree with anything that I say or do either. But, don’t worry, I’m still going to say and do them. And, I will not really care if you are pissed because of it.

You aren’t always right. I’m not saying I am either. Deal with it.

New site feed

Blogger has finally released a site feed for all users, so of course I installed it. Point your reader to www.windthefrog.net/rss.xml.

Also, if you haven’t checked out the forums@dbmini yet, I’ve added a new photo album feature. I haven’t set up all the categories yet, but I will soon. Check it out.

Still no word on new equipment at the office, as they workstation really start to show their age. No worries, because I have to finish the database app for the detail shop anyway.

Side jobs all around! Not huge jobs, but a bunch of little ones, which is all good by me. Just tune-ups and upgrades, some software installation too. Like I said, not huge, but every little bit helps, right?

Driving tips

It’s that time again. db’s friendly driving reminders. Feel free to take notes….

  • When driving with your cellphone to your ear and you cut me off, don’t act all surprised when I yell, scream or flip you off. C’mon, I know I wasn’t the first
  • When merging onto the freeway, remember that it works much like a zipper. You need a space before you can move. Build up some karma and not crowd.
  • 4 way stops run to the right (counter clockwise). 3 way stops work much the same way, unless the third way is on the left. Make adjustments accordingly
  • The posted legal speedlimit on most Southern California freeways is 65 MPH. Some are 55 MPH and some are 70. If you are not going to travel at least as fast as the posted speed, get off the freeway or ride the bus. At the very least, stay in the most righthand lane to keep out of the way.
  • uphill = more accelleration. downhill = brake. Do not mix these up.
  • When it rains, slow down. If it has been raining for more than 24 hours, don’t drive like a pussy. If you are that afraid of the rain, stay home or take the bus.
  • cell phones and any parking lot are a pretty bad idea. Please see the first item.
  • use your blinkers! if you unsure of their operation, consult your owners manual or take the bus. Don’t act all surprised when I yell, scream or flip you off because you cut me off because you were too fucking lazy or busy talking on YOUR GOD DAMNED CELL PHONE TO USE YOUR BLINKERS YOU STUPID PIECE OF CRAP!
  • Night driving on dry roads is the same as day driving on dry roads. If you are slowing down, go to the eye doctor. If you are driving an unfamiliar route, such as a mountain road, go around or take the bus.
  • If you have to pay for gas with the contents of your piggy bank, all pennies, stay home

    I’m just saying…..

    Jackets?

Appearantly, according the good lad Josh, there are many different levels of jackets and coats, depending on the weather. I will try my best to describe them here…

    1. light sweater…in the 50’s
    2. sweater…49-52
    3. light jacket…mid 40’s
    4. jacket…low 40’s
    5. light coat…high 30’s
    6. coat…30’s and below

I don’t think this is completely accurate. I think that those wacky Nebraskonians are actually dressing more like this….

    1. shorts and sandals…in the 40’s
    2. pants and tshirt…in the 30’s
    3. light sweater, possibly shorts…in the 20’s
    4. sweater, pants…in the 10’s
    5. light jacket…0’s
    6. jacket…-10’s
    7. light coat…-20’s
    8. coat…-30’s and colder

I’ve heard that even at ice station zebra, they roll out wearing nothing more than a pair of khaki’s and pull over. Those wacky Nebraskonians…
